I love Thanksgiving, is one of my favorite American Holidays, since I left the USA I haven't been able to celebrate it, the way you should, I miss  preparing and going shopping for groceries,and the countless conversations with friends and coworkers to how we're going to prepare the Turkey and the stuffing, I miss the long day of cooking and sharing and then to sit at the table,enjoy that perfect meal and most important to be Thankful...and then the best !tons of leftovers to enjoy during the weekend.
I made this Illustration to celebrate, even from faraway, always in my heart ..Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Last September I created an Illustration inspired by the Earth, Wind and Fire song, September.I love that song, it really captures for me the last days of Summer getting into the Fall.

  Professional photographs  for my artwork

These past few weeks I had a professional photographer take photos of my artwork collection, I always thought it was very important to have my artwork in high quality format for commercial and display purposes.

I had the opportunity to work with Jesica Alcaina owner of Deviens.es, she's a photographer that specializes in artwork photography for painters,Illustrators, Sculptors etc..

It has been a great experience and I'm very happy of the results, I have updated my website with the new pictures of my paintings, now you can see the details of the texture  and the colors are closer to the  original artwork.

Estas ultimas semanas, han fotografiado mis pinturas, siempre he pensado que era importante tener mi trabajo artístico fotografiado profesionalmente, he tenido la oportunidad y la suerte de poder trabajar con Jesica Alcaina de Deviens.es, fotógrafa especializada en reproducción de obra, dando servicios a pintores, escultores, ilustradores etc..

Ha sido una gran experiencia y estoy muy contenta de los resultados, he actualizado mi página web

con las nuevas fotografías de mis cuadros, ahora se puede apreciar los detalles de las texturas y los colores son muy cercanos al original.

For this week's theme for Illustration friday project I did a cat.
The theme was talent, my inspiration was a cat sleeping on a clothes string..and it requires a real talent to be sleeping on a string, something that a cat may dare to do.
I was inspired by an old photo of my cat Sara, she passed away 6 years ago, it was nice to remember her, as you can tell she was enjoying her nap the same as "the talent cat".

Finally is Friday..what a week, has been busy.
Still working on my new Illustration portfolio and setting up the social media plus I had a new offer to design a web, even though my main work is illustration  I do some  Graphic design and web design from time to time.
This project is going to be an interesting one I will keep you posted

Today,I opened a shop to showcase my Artwork at Society6 every week I will be updating with new items.
So this weekend it seems that i'm going to work on the web design and enjoyed being at home while is raining outside.

For the past three weeks I've started to draw Illustrations for the Illustration Friday project, is been a great exercise  each week to work on a different themes, this week's theme was whisper.
I found a picture of a dress from designer Samantha Pleet on the internet and that was the inspiration for the dress and the girl.
Then I thought of a bluebird whispering to her..
Maybe is because I'm looking forward to Spring or maybe that's has been so cold this past few days here in Barcelona, that I made this  illustration to look floral and have an eastern feel.I'm looking forward for the good weather to come, but until that happens, I'll have this Illustration.
